Liftmaster 373LM (functional equivalent)
Same internal hardware as the 373LM in a Chamberlain-branded shell. If your opener has a purple learn button and you want three channels, this is the cheapest factory remote available.
Programming the 953CB
Same procedure as the 373LM — hit the learn button, hit the desired remote button, done.
- Press the purple "learn" button on the side of the motor unit. The indicator light stays on for 30 seconds.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold one button on the 953CB until the motor light blinks twice.
- Repeat at each additional opener using a different button on the 953CB.
Each Security+ opener stores up to 8 remotes (counting each button as one). Adding a 9th remote will erase the oldest in memory.
