The CLT1D is the right pick when you don't know what brand or learn-button color your opener has. The exclusions — Genie Intellicode, Stanley SecureCode, Overhead Door CodeDodger — use proprietary protocols and need brand-specific remotes.

Programming the Clicker CLT1D

The CLT1D auto-detects your opener's frequency and protocol during pairing. Find your learn button first — the procedure varies slightly by opener type.

  1. Press your opener's learn button (any color). The indicator light stays on for 30 seconds.
  2. Within 30 seconds, press the desired button on the CLT1D twice — once to wake the remote, once to send the pairing signal.
  3. When the opener's indicator blinks, pairing is complete. Repeat for the second button on a second opener.

For DIP-switch fixed-code openers (no learn button): set the CLT1D's code by matching the DIP-switch positions on the back of the remote to the receiver's switches. The CLT1D supports both rolling-code and fixed-code modes automatically.

What customers say

★★★★★

Inherited a house with three garage door openers from three different decades — Liftmaster, Genie, and a Stanley. The CLT1D paired with all three. Two buttons across them.

★★★★★

Bought this because I had no idea what brand opener I had. Worked first try. Wish I'd known about universal remotes years ago.
