The GT912 and GIT-1 are functionally identical — only the battery and case have changed. If you already have other GT912s in your household, ordering more keeps everything consistent.
Programming the GT912
Same Intellicode pairing as the GIT-1 — two presses on the remote separated by a brief release.
- Press and release the round "learn" button on the back of the Genie opener powerhead. The radio indicator LED will glow.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the GT912. The opener LED will blink.
- Release, then press the remote button once more. The opener LED stops blinking when pairing is complete.
A23 12 V alkaline batteries are also sold at most hardware stores — replace every 2–3 years for best range.
