Pair each button to a different Genie powerhead to operate three doors. The GIT-3 is the three-channel version of the GIT-1 — same internals, same compatibility.
Programming the GIT-3
Genie's pairing procedure uses a two-press sequence on the remote — repeat once per button.
- Press and release the round "learn" button on the back of the first Genie opener powerhead. The radio LED will glow.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold one button on the GIT-3 until the LED blinks. Release, then press the same button once more.
- Repeat at each additional Genie powerhead using a different button on the GIT-3.
Each Genie Intellicode opener stores up to 7 button-pairings. Adding an 8th will erase the oldest.
