I rent and the previous tenants left a 2001 Liftmaster opener with no remotes. The 375LM paired in 90 seconds without me knowing anything about the model.
Liftmaster
Universal three-channel visor transmitter — the only remote you need if you don't know your opener brand or learn-button color. Pairs with any Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Genie, or Linear opener built after 1993, regardless of frequency or learn-button color.
Confirmed-compatible openers, receivers, and the older remotes this part replaces. If your model isn't listed, send us a photo and we'll verify before you buy.

The 375LM is the recommended remote when you don't know your opener's brand or model — most useful for renters, new homeowners, or anyone with a mixed-brand household. Universal mode adds about 10 seconds to the pairing process.
Universal pairing requires holding two buttons together to put the remote into "match-frequency" mode before tapping the opener's learn button.
Repeat the full sequence per button. Each button can be paired to a different brand of opener — for example, button 1 to a Liftmaster purple, button 2 to a Genie Intellicode, button 3 to a Chamberlain HD950.

My household: Genie Intellicode in the garage, Chamberlain at our cabin, Linear gate at the property line. One remote handles all three.
