The 973LM is for openers from 1993–2005 with green, orange, or red learn buttons. For openers built after 2005 with a purple learn button, order the 373LM instead.
Programming the 973LM
Pair each button independently — once per opener you want to control.
- Press the colored "learn" button on the side of the motor unit (it will be green, orange, or red). The indicator light stays on for 30 seconds.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold one button on the 973LM until the motor light blinks twice.
- Repeat steps 1–2 at each subsequent opener using a different button.
To erase all remotes from memory: hold the learn button for ~6 seconds until the indicator goes out, then re-pair each remote you want to keep.
