Any opener built after 1993 with safety-reverse sensors
The 975LM has its own motion-triggered switch — it activates when your car breaks the safety-sensor beam at the bottom of the door, regardless of opener brand. If your opener pre-dates 1993 (no photo eyes), the 975LM won't auto-trigger.
How to set it up
Five-minute installation:
- Mount the unit on the wall above the back of where the car parks.
- Pull the car into the spot where you want it to stop.
- Aim the laser dot at a fixed point on the dashboard — a vent, a screw, the steering wheel hub.
- Going forward: pull in until the dot lands on that exact spot, then stop.
