The "-22" suffix indicates two buttons + two channels. Each button can be set to a different 12-bit code so one fob operates two separate gates or doors.
Programming the 3089-22
Each button has an independent 12-switch DIP block. Match each receiver to the corresponding button bank.
- Open the back of the 3089-22. Note both 12-switch DIP banks (one per button).
- For the first receiver: set its 12-switch block to match the top-button bank.
- For the second receiver: set its 12-switch block to match the bottom-button bank. Replace covers and test.
Property managers: avoid all-up or all-down patterns — these conflict with the factory test code on Multicode 1090 receivers.
