The "-33" suffix indicates three buttons + three channels. Each button can be set to a different 12-bit code so one fob operates three separate gates or doors.
Programming the 3089-33
Each button has an independent 12-switch DIP block. Match each receiver to the corresponding button bank.
- Open the back of the 3089-33. Note all three 12-switch DIP banks (one per button).
- For each receiver: set its 12-switch block to match the corresponding button bank.
- Replace covers and test all three buttons.
Property managers: avoid all-up or all-down patterns — these conflict with the factory test code on Multicode 1090 receivers.
