Programming the 312HM

Mount the antenna with at least 12 inches of clearance from metal, wire to the operator's control board, then learn each remote.

  1. Wire the 312HM to your gate operator or opener control board per the operator's manual. Set the power jumper to match your operator (12 V DC or 18–35 V AC/DC).
  2. Press the learn button on the 312HM. Choose high-security (15-code) or normal-security (31-code) memory mode per the manual.
  3. Press the desired button on each 315 MHz Security+ remote within the learn window.
  4. Repeat for each additional remote and keypad up to capacity.

High-security mode requires the receiver and remote to share a fixed install — recommended for gate operators. Normal-security mode allows more codes for high-volume access.

What customers say

★★★★★

Driveway gate setup. Antenna mounted on the post, receiver in the operator box, paired six remotes for the family. Range is excellent — works from inside the house.

Pieter Vandermeer · Texas

★★★★★

Replaced an aging 312HM with a new one. Same form factor, jumpers configured identically, swapped in 20 minutes. Customers never noticed the changeover.
