Programming the 3800
New 3800 units ship with the purple Security+ learn button. Pair remotes from any Liftmaster Security+ family with the procedure below.
- Press the purple learn button on the side of the motor unit. The indicator light stays on for 30 seconds.
- Within 30 seconds, press and hold the desired button on your remote until the motor light blinks twice.
- Repeat for each additional remote and your wireless keypad — capacity is 8 remotes plus 1 keypad.
Mount the motor unit per the included DVD — wall-mount jackshafts require precise alignment with the torsion-bar centerline. Professional installation recommended for first-time installers.
